Today, November 4th, is election day in the U.S. I subscribe to quite a few IM email databases to keep up on what everyone is doing and what product launches are happening.
I am amazed at the number of politically charged “vote for this guy” emails I have received from these same IMers in the last couple of days.
As a teenager, when I worked at a locally owned hardware store, I learned (and was told for that matter) to not discuss politics. It just worked out better that way. If I really wanted to, I could often figure out a customer’s political bent after talking to them awhile. Keep it to yourselves!
Oh, and get out there and cast your vote, regardless of who you want to win!
February 29th occurs every four years and is called “leap day.” This extra day is added to the calendar as a way to correct the fact the earth does not orbit around the sun in precisely one year (365 days).
What does this tell us? Life is not perfect. Adjustments need to be made. If you are trying to make money online, take this opportunity to reflect on your current status. It is only 2 months since the new year started. Hopefully you took the opportunity as the new year approached to take stock and make plans for the new year. Now would be a good time to review where you are and what you need to do to finish the year with a flourish. Are you on track to meet your goals for 2008? What changes need to be made to meet those goals? Are your current strategies paying off?
If you have not made a detailed plan for this year, do it now! One sixth of the year is already gone.
To your success!
There is a lot of talk and posts with regards to the New Year and what you should do in 2008. Some of it is just a setup for a new product offering or some other subversive reason. Some is genuine.
Regardless, the New Year is an opportunity to take stock of where your are in life and make plans on what you would like to accomplish in 2008. In 2007 you may have been wandering aimlessly trying to find a way to earn an online income. If you are like me, you have subscribed to too many email lists and a good part of your day is spent reading emails and incredible offers (sic).
Perhaps the best thing you can do for 2008 is to make your life simpler:
1) Unsubscribe from any and all lists that you find unrelated to your interests or future interests. You can keep a list of those you have left in case you wish to rejoin.
2) Pick a tactic to apply for an online income and take from inception to completion. Do not start something and then jump to a new tactic until you have completed the project already underway.
3) Prepare a timeline for your project, stay on schedule as best as possible, and adjust as necessary.
Here is to a Great 2008!
Start off the New Year with an organized file system and become more efficient. The holidays are approaching fast and it is most likely a slower time for you.
Take the time to go through your hard drive and storage devices and organize your purchases and downloads. Categorize by area of interest or type of asset (ebook, audio, development, etc.) and make new folders for each item. Maybe you have something that meets more than one description. If so, put in all applicable locations.
Do not forget to throw away the trash too!
